  • Whether you are new to mindfulness practice or have been on this journey for years, we invite you to join us in cultivating peace, compassion, and interconnectedness in our daily lives. We are an inclusive community welcoming all races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, genders, and generations. Let's walk the path of mindfulness together.
  • Where & When: We meet twice a month (1st and 3rd Mondays at 2:30pm) at the Palm Beach Quakers meetinghouse (823 N. A St., Lake Worth Beach, FL)
  • Arrival: Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early to get settled. From North A Street, follow the meetinghouse driveway to a free parking lot in the rear. From the parking lot, enter the building through the rear double doors and you will find us up the stairs on the left. (Please plan to arrive early and contact us ahead if you have stair accessibility issues.)
  • What to bring: There are plenty of chairs and a few cushions already available, however, if you have your own cushion you may wish to bring it. Dress comfortably in loose clothing for sitting and walking meditation.
  • What to expect: We practice a combination of guided and sitting meditation, as well as slow indoor walking meditation. There is a teaching on a topic of engaged mindfulness, such as a reading from Thich Nhat Hanh, followed by time for the group to share mindfully, learn from each others' experiences, and support each other on our path. Note: A number of attendees do not find us through Meetup, so there are usually more attendees than those who sign up here.
  • Learn more: We practice engaged mindfulness in the Plum Village tradition of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh. All wholesome spiritual beliefs are welcome. It is not necessary to be a Buddhist to practice engaged mindfulness. Learn more about our teacher and the tradition here: https://thichnhathanhfoundation.org/plum-village-tradition
