Hiking through many fields of poppy and other blossoms in the North of Hessen
We start in Eschwege and hike until we reach the area with poppy and other blossoms. We will hike through many fields there until we return on a slightly different route to Eschwege.
We meet in Fra Hbf at 9:15 at the beginning of platform 5 for RE 50 departing at 9:26. A Deutschlandticket is recommended, but you can also buy a Hessenticket. Note that the train ride is three hours each direction.
The distance is ca. 18 km. Have a look at the route and elevation in the photos section. Bring enough beverages & food for the way with you.
Disclaimer: The weather forecast is sunny and hot, but take precaution for changing conditions. It is an outdoor activity and I can only estimate when we reach the destination.
