Near Wetzlar with castles, quarries, Lahn & Dill rivers

We start in Wetzlar and hike along the Lahn. Then we leave it and hike to two quarries in Hermannstein and to the castle there. We continue to a few lakes in a valley and then hike to Werdorf palace, Dill river and train station.
We meet in Fra Hbf at 9:40 at the beginning of platform 16 for RE 40 departing at 9:50. A Deutschlandticket or RMV annual ticket is recommended, but you can also buy a single day ticket.

The distance is ca. 16 km. Have a look at the route and elevation in the photos section. Bring enough to drink and lunch for the way with you.
