[bike] Along the Lumba and Lahn river on a car free day

We start in Reiskirchen and bike to Geilshausen, where the car free zone begins. Then we bike in the Lumba valley close to the river to Staufenberg with its castle. We continue until we reach the Lahn river. We bike along the river, passing several attractions like Badenburg, until we reach Gießen.

We meet in Fra Hbf at 9:40 at the beginning of platform 16 for RB 40 departing at 9:50. A Deutschlandticket or RMV annual ticket is recommended, but you can also buy a single day ticket.

The distance is ca. 40 km. Have a look at the route and elevation in the photos section. You can bring stuff to drink and lunch for the way with you, but there will also places with that along the way. If you think 40 km is too long for you, there is also the option to take the train after 30 km.

Disclaimer: The weather forecast is mostly sunny, but take precaution for changing conditions. It is an outdoor activity and I can only estimate when we reach the destination.
