Castles, castles, castles and fireworks over the one in Heidelberg at the end

We start in Schriesheim and hike to the Strahlenburg. From there, we continue to Schauenburg. Then we hike to Tiefburg and then Heiligenberg with the ruin of St. Michael monastery and and old Germanic cult place and then to a viewpoint, where we have a great view on Heidelberg and the castle. After the firework, we hike to the city to return with the train. Note: To get a good viewpoint, we arrive about 1 to 2 hours before the fireworks. You can use the time to go to the city and get some food or drinks.

We meet in Fra Hbf at 12:55 at the beginning of platform 10 for RB 68 departing at 13:06. A Deutschlandticket is required, unless you live in the area or come by car.

The distance is ca. 14 km. Have a look at the route and elevation in the photos section. Bring something to drink and lunch for the way with you.
