☃️ Lots of snow, sun and a ski-jump in Willingen ❄️

Currently, there is more than 30 cm snow in the area and more is forecasted to fall in the next two days. First, we hike to the lower point of the ski-jump. Then, we continue until we reach the top of it. Next, we hike the the peak of Große Grube and then to Ettelsberg with a tower and lake on the peak. From there, we continue down the mountain until we reach the city again.

We meet in Fra Hbf at 9:10 at the beginning of platform 16 for RE30 departing at 9:20. A Deutschlandticket is recommended, but you can also buy a single day ticket.

The distance is ca. 12 km. Important: The hike is in -- at least partially deep -- snow with freezing temperatures. You need appropriate shoes (preferable ones that cover the ankles) and clothing. It is in a mountainous area, have a look at the route and elevation in the photos section. Take beverages & food for the way with you.
