Pink & white cherry blossoms 🌸 from Friedberg to Bad Nauheim
Details
We start in Friedberg and do a sightseeing walk to the historic district with pink cherry blossoms, especially the castle, which is one of the largest castle areas in Germany. We continue along the Seebach on the Äppelwoiweg (apple cider trail) to Ockstadt. There we hike through fruit orchards with hundreds of cherry trees around Ockstadt. We continue to the Kurpark to Bad Nauheim. There we see the house where Elvis lived while in Germany and the spa houses in art nouveau style before we reach the train station.
We meet in Fra Hbf at 10:10 at the beginning of platform 14 for RE98 departing at 10:20. A Deutschlandticket or RMV annual ticket is recommended, but you can also buy a single day ticket.
The distance is ca. 17 km. Have a look at the route and elevation in the photos section. Take beverages & food for the way with you.
Disclaimer: The weather forecast is mostly sunny, but take precaution for changing conditions. It is an outdoor activity and I can only estimate when we reach the destination. There will be photos taken by the organizer (and probably others) at nice spots. GDPR clause: By participating you agree to be on group and other photos where you are not the main motive.
