Let's welcome the summer hike from Bad Vilbel to Lohrberg with BBQ at the end ♨️

May Day traditionally is a day of rallies and get together afterwards. It also marks the beginning of the BBQ season in Germany. This year it will have summer temperatures, so perfect conditions. We start in Bad Vilbel Süd, hike through the spa park along the Nidda with many flowers in blossom, passing the castle surrounded by water. We continue through apple orchards until we reach Berger Warte. From there we hike to Lohrberg, where we have a great view on the skyline. We will stay there for 2-3 hours and then hike to the U-Bahn station Seckbacher Landstraße, there are also buses leaving from Lohrberg.

I will organize three grills, which should work for about 15 persons. If someone could bring some charcoal, would be great. If we are more (check on Thursday afternoon), it makes sense to buy a small one way grill, which is light and you can get in many supermarkets. Bring your own food and drinks. There is also a restaurant at Lohrberg, where you can get cool beer, other beverages or food, if you don't want grilled stuff.

We meet in Fra Hbf at 10:45 at the beginning of platform 22 for S6 departing at 10:59 at -104. If you don't have a Deutschlandticket or RMV annual ticket, you can buy a single day ticket. The distance is ca. 12 km.
