Eltville to Wiesbaden with palaces, storks and a sparkling wine festival

We start in Eltville, walk through the historic center until we reach the promenade at the waterfront. We visit the castle with its garden and then hike along the waterfront until we reach Schierstein natural preserve. Storks and other birds are breeding there. If you have binoculars or telephoto lens, bring them with you. We continue through the marina and along the waterfront until we reach Biebrich Palace. We walk through the park with parrots und then head to Henkell headquarters, which is also in a palace. There is the sparkling wine festival on that day with live music, the possibility to visit the wine cellars, drinks and food.
We meet in Fra Hbf at 10:15 at the beginning of platform 2 for RB10 departing at 10:24. A Deutschlandticket or RMV annual ticket is recommended, but you can also buy a single day ticket.
The distance is ca. 13 km, flat. Bring beverages & food for the way with you.
