Frankfurt Game Lovers

Every Thursday at 19.00 there is a boargaming meetup at Mehrgenerationhaus (Frankfurt Gallus). The event is organized on Boardgamegeek: https://www.boardgamegeek.com/guild/414
In the corresponding thread you can announce a game in advance if you want to find other players to play with you. But this is not necessary. There are always gamers called "Spontanspieler" that meet at the location and decide on what to play right there.
New faces are always welcome and english is no problem. There is no fee for the location and you can bring your own food and beverages. In fact you need to because nothing is sold at the location.
The place has no Ludothek. Players bring the games to play theirselves. So fell free to bring you favourite games.

Groups form and games start usually at 7 PM. So anyone showing up later - even if only a little bit - might not be able to join a game right away."

BGG-Guild Rhein-Main exists now for about 10 years and after some years of wandering through several restaurants in Frankfurt a few years ago the boardgame meetup has found it's home at Mehrgenerationhaus. With very seldom exceptions (Xmas etc.) it takes place every Thursday.

There you can also reserve a place for the event. This is especially important if you are not vaccinated against covid yet or have recovered from a former covid infection. If those both option don't apply for you, you have to reserve a place on the BGG-Forum and bring a negative test result, when visiting the meetup.

Ob würfeln, Karten ziehen oder Spielfiguren bewegen – Spielen verbindet und bringt Menschen zusammen. Dieses Miteinander können Spielbegeisterte und Interessierte von 19 bis 22 Uhr jeden Mittwoch im Stadtteilbüro Nordend im Spieletreff OF-Nordend erleben.

Mit Unterstützung vom Quartiersmanagement und dem Freiwilligenzentrum organisiert ein Team von ehrenamtlich Engagierten den Spieletreff. „Wir unterstützen Möglichkeiten, Menschen im Quartier zueinander zu bringen!“ so Quartiersmanager Marcus Schenk. Gespielt wird nach Lust und Laune an verschiedenen Tischen, vom einfachen Kartenspiel bis zum Strategiespiel. Das Quartiersmanagement sorgt für das nötige Equipment an Brett-, Karten- und Gesellschaftsspielen. Wer mitspielen will, ist herzlich willkommen und kommt einfach vorbei. Eine Anmeldung ist nicht erforderlich.

Die Teilnehmenden organisieren sich über diverse Kanäle, nicht nur über Meetup. Eine Anmeldung ist nicht erforderlich. Durschnittlich nehmen ca. 15 Spiele-Fans an einem Event teil.

Participants are subscribing via diverse channels. It is not mandatory to enroll for an event. The average number or participants is 15 for each event.

Am 2. und 4. Donnerstag findet jeden Monat ein offener Brettspielabend im Stadtteilbüro Senefelderquartier von 18:30-22:00 Uhr statt. Vor Ort stehen zirka 45 Spiele zur Verfügung, gerne können eigene Spiele mitgebracht werden.

Vom Hauptbahnhof Offenbach ist das Stadtteilbüro in wenigen Minuten erreichbar.
