Embrace the future

In many Western countries, a gloomy mood has taken over, according to which our best days have passed. This mood hinders us from giving our best effort to preparing the future. And it ignores that billions of people in Africa and Asia are fully committed to a better future and could benefit from fruitful exchange with an optimistic rather than a gloomy West.

In this session we'll look both at the challenges ahead - such as climate change and demographic shifts - and at the opportunities that a connected world still offers in spite of those who'd rather see it fall apart.
