Michael is the Founder and CEO of AssumeList. In 2000, after graduating college with a business degree, Michael joined the U.S. Marine Corps. In 2009, and at the peak of the housing crisis, Michael obtained his real estate license while still on active duty. His first clients were mainly other military families who needed to relocate and sell their homes, and it was
through these efforts that Michael discovered a passion for helping homeowners achieve their goals. In 2013, he launched Fidelis Property Group, a residential real estate team that has since been ranked among the top 1.5% of all real estate teams nationally by Real Trends. In 2021, after serving more than 20 years, Michael retired from the Marine Corps and became a full-time real estate agent. As mortgage interest rates began rising, Michael recognized the coming affordability crisis and wondered how home buyers could more easily find homes for sale with government-backed assumable loans. As he researched, he realized that no search tool existed, so he created AssumeList with the goal of making homes with assumable loans more accessible - and thus making home ownership more affordable. Michael has an MBA from the University of Maryland at College Park and resides with his family in Alexandria, VA.
