About us
Welcome to the Frederick Hiking Group for people in their 20's and 30's!
Our group is perfect for those looking to explore the beautiful outdoors, get some exercise, and make new friends in Frederick, MD. We organize hikes of varying difficulty levels and distances, from easy nature walks to more challenging summit hikes.
Our members are in their 20's and 30's and come from diverse backgrounds, but we all share a love of nature and adventure. We welcome hikers of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced hikers, and encourage everyone to challenge themselves and try new trails.
In addition to hiking, we also organize social events and other outdoor activities, such as kayaking, picnics, and post hike breweries and winery meetups. These events provide an opportunity to connect with other outdoor enthusiasts in a relaxed, fun setting.

We prioritize safety and environmental responsibility on our hikes and ask that all members follow Leave No Trace principles to minimize our impact on the environment.

Many of our events have waitlists on them and as a result if you are a no show at an event you may be automatically moved to the waitlist on the next event. Repeated no shows can result in expulsion from the group.
Our group is a safe place for friends and all members agree to treat each other with respect. Inappropriate comments or conduct towareds other members will not be tolerated. Failure to treat other members with respect can result in removal from the group.

Krumpe's Donut Alley Rally (5k run/walk) in Hagerstown
Krumpe's Do-Nut Shop, 912 Maryland Ave, Hagerstown, MD 21740, Hagerstown, MD, USA Hagerstown tradition for 80+ years, Krumpe's Do-Nuts (a real hidden sweet treat), is hosting their annual Donut Alley Rally 5k! Run or walk as the proceeds benefit the Wounded Warrior Project & the Mason-Dixon Warrior Adventures!
The 5k on-site registration opens at 6pm, with the Run/ Walk at 730pm!!
You can SIGN-UP/ REGISTER HERE for $27.5. Fees increase after June 16, and may increase again closer to the 5k date.Participants are given a Race T-shirt w/ bib; medals (and plausible cash prizes) are awarded to top finishers... Maybe some donuts too? | RACE MAP

Outdoors All- Star Comedy Show (Bethesda)
Cabin John Amphitheater, 7410 Tuckerman Ln, Bethesda, MD 20817, Bethesda, MD, USLaugh along as a lineup of local comedians from Improbable Comedy entertain at the Cabin John Reg'l park Amphitheater in Bethesda. This FREE event is in a forested setting with grassy terrain so bring a blanket and/or lawn chair. You can BYO comestibles, but there are food trucks & local craft drinks on site; restrooms available inside the park. Comedy show begins @7pm, but an EARLY ARRIVAL IS ADVSIED-- consider 6/630pm!!

1. Comedy show (website info) has a suggested age of 17+. Viewer discretion advised. ASL interpretation provided.
