Frederick Mandarin learning group

This is a group made for people learning Mandarin with absolutely no fluency. The goal is to master the foundations of phonetics, memorize characters, and eventually practice conversations together.Our events will consist of study sessions and watching mandarin-language movies and tv shows. Scissor seven is one such series which I can play for us whilst having English and mandarin subtitles on. I am by no means fluent nor do I have the foundations but I wanted to put this group together to at least find people who like me, want to get started. So it’s going to be a bit like the blind leading the blind but we will find syllabuses that are already put together and go off those. Meetings will mainly take place at the library or FCC because it’s free unless members want to pitch in to reserve nicer places
