/* What: */

Machine Learning. You may have heard this buzzword by now, but what exactly is it? Come find out Tuesday, March 19th at FITCI in Downtown Frederick!

Send me links to datasets in advance, if you'd like to have your prediction featured! (Our mileage may vary.)

ML.NET is a free, open-source, cross-platform machine learning framework used to forecast based on existing data--with a little extra work. We'll be using existing datasets to make predictions, and we'll measure how good we are. And you guessed it, there will be some live coding (with backups to dazzle you in the event of my catastrophic failure, of course.) What could go wrong? If you want to follow along, bring a laptop, and install .NET Core for your operating system, and Visual Studio Code. That's it!

Please share this meetup with anyone you think would be interested in Machine Learning, ML.NET, or .NET Core awesomeness in general!

/* When: */

6:30pm - Networking, pizza, beverages!
7:00pm - Presentation
8:00pm - Closing discussion, more networking
8:15pm* - Often, guests head next door to Brewer's Alley for a beverage and continued technology conversation!

/* Who */

@davidleefox (a complete and utter amateur when it comes to this stuff, so bear with me)

/* Why */

ML.NET is awesome, and you should be able to identity Machine Learning vs a simple regression algorithm.
