Frederick Travel Meetup

Hi Everyone,

Our next lunch meeting will be Sunday 12/14 at 11:00am at Capital Crave. Please note the new time for this meeting due to the NFL football season. Capital Crave gets a lot of people Sunday afternoons during football season. So, I am going to change the meeting time for now to 11:00am and end by 1:00pm.

Capital Crave is located on Rt. 40 (Golden Mile) next to the VFW on Rt. 40. The reservation is under the name Frederick Travel Group.

We will talk about our trips for 2026 and sign-ups for these trips will be available. The trips are:

• Rhine River cruise 4/7/26 - 4/14/26
• Croatia trip 6/14/26 - 6/26/26
• Iceland trip 8/14/26 - 8/22/26 (deadline to sign up is 12/21/26)
• New England/Canada cruise 10/7/26 - 10/17/26

Here are some brief details for the 2026 trips:
The Rhine River cruise starts in Basel, Switzerland and ends in Amsterdam, where you can see the tulips in full bloom in April. The stops in between include Strasbourg, France; Cologne, Germany; Heidelberg, Germany.

The trip to Croatia is also guided tour trip to beautiful cultural cities and some of the most incredible coastlines you will see. The trip begins in Dubrovnik and ends in Split, Croatia. The other locations you will see are of Budva, Montonegro and the historical city of Sarajevo and Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The trip to Iceland will be an amazing trip! The guided tour trip is from 8/14/26 - 8/22/26. There will be a total eclipse on 8/12/26. For those that want to arrive on 8/11/26, I can a pre-tour hotel stay with the tour company. Not only is Iceland is one of the most naturally beautiful countries in the world, but you can see the total solar eclipse and visit the Blue Lagoon, south Iceland glacier national parks, geothermal hot springs and many other incredible sites!

The New England/Canada cruise departs from Philadelphia and ends in Quebec City with stops in Boston; Bar Harbor, ME; Nova Scotia; Prince Edwards Island; and Quebec City.

If time allows we will also discuss the 2027 trips which are:

• Costa Rica: 1/30/27 - 2/8/27
• Italy: spring of 2027
• Scotland: August 2027.

Join the Frederick Travel Group on a 7-day river cruise of the Rhine River starting in Basel, Switzerland and ending in Amsterdam. The river cruise is from 4/4/2026 - 4/11/2026. The cruise is on Avalon Vista.

The stateroom prices for the cruise prices are as follows (price listed is per person):

• Window deluxe stateroom (deck 1): $2,830 pp
• Panorama suite (deck 2 - back): $4,479 pp
• Panorama suite (deck 2 - midship): $4,579 pp
• Panorama suite (deck 3) $4,629 pp

The prices include gratuities. All meals are included and all beverages including alcohol are included when served during meals. Guests will have to pay for any alcohol beverages if served at the bar.

• 4/6/26 Mon: Strasbourg, France

• 4/8/26 Wed: Rudesheim, Germany and Koblenz, Germany
• 4/9/26 Thu: Cologne, Germany
• 4/10/26 Fri: Amsterdam, Netherlands
• 4/11/26 Sat: Amsterdam, Netherlands

On this cruise you get the chance to see four countries! At each port of call there are at least 1 or 2 excursions that complimentary.

The Frederick Travel Group has another chance to visit one of the most beautiful countries in the world...Iceland!!!

This is 8 day guided tour of the Iceland starting on 8/15/26 from Reykjavik, Iceland and the group begins the exciting tour of Iceland!

The tour begins 8/15/26 and ends on 8/22/26. There will be a solar eclipse that can be seen from Iceland on 8/12/26 for those that want to arrive early in Iceland. If you want arrive before the guided tour begins please let me know so I can make reservations for you at the same hotel that the guided tour is staying in Reykjavik.

On the tour we will visit the capital city of Reykjavik, the world famous geothermal Blue Lagoons; Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls on a tour of Iceland’s South Coast; Skaftafell National Park, a beautiful mountainous region on the edge of the Vatnajökull Glacier; the fjords on the Iceland coastlines; the Geysir Geothermal Area, home of the Strokkur Geyser; and the Northern Lights!

The price for this trip is $3,899 at double occupancy. The price includes all hotel accommodations; transfers from Reykjavik Airport and to the airport on the last day; 13 meals; entrance fees for each sight listed on the tour; comfortable bus transportation on the trip; hotel porterage; and professional tour guides. Airfare is not included.
