The Frederick Travel Group will be going on an exciting, adventurous and cultural trip to Costa Rica! The date of the tip is 1/30/27 - 2/8/27. The trip is a guided tour trip that will begin in San Jose; then go to the Caribbean side and then on to Pacific Coast side. This is a great opportunity to see a lot of one of the most naturally beautiful countries in the Americas. Plus, this will be great way to take a break from the freezing temperatures and snow that will occur next winter! This trip has everything for almost all travelers!

Here's a brief itinerary of the trip

  • 1/30/2027 Sat: Arrive in San Jose (airport code SJO). Welcome reception is at 4:00pm at the hotel. (overnight in San Jose)
  • 1/31/2027 Sun: Cultural experience with Costa Rica chocolatiers and river journey on Siquirres River (overnight in Tortuguero)
  • 2/1/2027 Mon: Morning cruise thru Tortuguero National Park and enjoy the natural beauty of this wildlife preserve (overnight in Tortugeuro)
  • 2/2/2027 Tue: Leave Tortuguero and travel thru Sarapiqui Valley; be my guest experience (overnight in Arenal Paraiso Resort; which includes a natural hot spring pool!)
  • 2/3/2027 Wed: Visit Arenal Natura Ecological Park, explore at your leisure or hike Arenal Volcano (overnight in Arenal Paraiso which includes a natural hot spring pool!)
  • 2/4/2027 Thu: Travel to Monteverde Cloud Forest, you’ll be immersed in the wonder of one of Costa Rica’s most unique ecosystems. Monteverde (overnight near Monteverde)
  • 2/5/2027 Fri: Excursion thru the lush rainforests of Monteverde, and walk on the suspension bridges above the trees (overnight near Monteverde)
  • 2/6/2027 Sat: Travel to Guanacaste and Tamarindo Beach; relax on the beach or stroll thru the town (overnight in Tamarindo)
  • 2/7/2027 Sun: Spend the day on the beach or enjoy optional adventure excursions inland (overnight in Tamarindo)
  • 2/8/2027 Mon : Depart Liberia (airport code LIR)

As you can see this trip has everything for all travelers! If you love nature or taking photos of beautiful scenery; or you are a cultural traveler; or if you love adventure; or you love relaxing on a beautiful tropical beach, this trip is for you!

The cost of the trip is $3,625 per person at double occupancy. Airfare is not included. Southwest flies to San Jose and from Liberia, Costa Rica.
If you choose not to do the 2-day extension to Guanacaste and Tamarindo Beach on 2/6/27, then the tour price will be $2,825 per person at double occupancy.

When making your reservation please specify if you want the 2-day extension to Guanacaste and Tamarindo Beach.

The price includes all hotel stays; 15 meals (4 dinners; 9 breakfasts; 3 lunches); passes into each site per itinerary; expert tour guides; very comfortable air-conditioned motor coach; free Wifi on the tour bus; plus be my guest experience with a Costa Rica family on their hacienda; and a cultural experience with Costa Rican family that make chocolate.
