Azure Logic App with Azure Maps, MSN Weather, Outlook 365, and an Azure Function

Details

This detailed demo takes us from begining to end of a practical utility which helps determine whether to leave early due to traffic and if we will need to bundle up for the weather or not.

The Logic App in this demo is configured to receive multiple kinds of triggers: email, Flow button, SMS message, or Postman etc...

The user sends an email with the start address with country and the destination address with country (has been tested in some African countries with success). In a moment there will be a return email detailing the coordinates of both locations, the weather at the destination, and step by step instructions for how to get from point A to point B. Step by step time and distance are included along with an overall estimate of traffic delay.

This Logic App integrates a minimal set of utilities in Azure such as Outlook 365, Azure Maps ($5/month, MSN weather (free) and an Azure function (pennies per transaction).

Various techniques are examined for nesting Logic Apps as well as a few differnet methods to trigger and to speed up testing and debugging. We will check run status in Azure and peek into values returned each step of the way.
