Hello All,

As some of you are aware, I have a personal issue to deal with for the next few weeks and won't be able to host this meeting. I will resume the meetings as soon as I can. I look forward to seeing everyone when I can!!!

Let's practice English pronunciation!

Event Format:
Our meetings will be held via Zoom, starting at 7pm; the password is 949065! To get the most out of our time together, you should already be able to understand and speak basic English... The focus of our Meetup isn’t to be a formal class, rather, we’ll be working on pronunciation and ways to make conversation more natural and comfortable!

I will pick out a few conversation topics each week. I will go around the virtual room and give everyone a chance to talk about one of the topics. As people talk, I will take notes on grammar or pronunciation things that I think we can improve. After everyone has had a turn, I will start at the beginning and work with people on the things I heard.

All meetings will be recorded. In the event a hacker breaks into the meeting, I will send the recording to Zoom as evidence of the attack. If no one breaks in, I will delete the recording immediately following the meeting. I apologize for the inconvenience but this has become necessary due to bad actors in the group. I appreciate your understanding.

Although this event is held under the Free Chinese Language Exchange, you definitely don’t have to speak Mandarin to attend! We warmly welcome people from all backgrounds :)
