Free Private Cities / Advanced SEZ - Meetup VII
Details
Dubai was built by private developers. Some see that as a problem — but in reality, private capital turned empty desert into an oasis of life, planting trees, building infrastructure, and creating a booming global hub.
What if this model could be scaled even further? Entire private cities, taking Dubai’s city-state success story to the next level, can show the world how private initiative doesn’t just build prosperity — it can also build a greener planet.
That’s what this meetup is about. Together, we’ll explore the idea of Free Cities, their impact on the environment, and what lessons Dubai can offer — and learn — from this global movement.
This meetup is also the perfect warm-up for the upcoming Free Cities Conference in Prague — the annual gathering of the global Free Cities movement. Whether you’re planning to attend in October or simply want to learn more, this is a chance to meet fellow enthusiasts and hear from leading voices in the movement.

Introduction to Free Private Cities — William Markus, Free Cities Ambassador, Pacioli Network co-founder
Why Private Cities Are Good for the Planet — Vera Kichanova, Senior Economist, Free Cities Foundation

Liberty in Our Lifetime (Prague, 31 October–2 November 2025) is the world’s leading event for Free Cities, bringing together 400+ pioneers, investors, and residents of innovative jurisdictions. From charter cities in Honduras, to Liberland, CryptoCity, next-generation private cities in Africa and floating communities in the Philippines, this is where the future of governance is being written. We look forward to seeing you in Dubai — and continuing the conversation in Prague!
