Fun & Friendly Relaxed Walk to MK Museum to see the History Festival & see concrete cows and Iron Trunk Aqueduct

This event is family and pet friendly. You can bring kids & well behaved dogs.

A chance to wander around the tent village set up in the MK Museum grounds and travel back in time to meet Romans, Tudors, Civil War Soldiers, Suffragettes and many more!Nearly 100 re-enactors will be roaming around the Museum throughout the weekend ready to answer your burning questions about life in the past.There will also be combat displays and show and tell presentations where you can learn about key moments from British history in a fun and engaging way.

The starting point of this circular walk is at the Wolverton Station. We will explore the rich history of this railway town. We will walk along the Grand union Canal & River Great Ouse. We will visit the iconic MK concrete cows in its original resting place.We will visit Cosgrove aqueduct which is a navigable cast iron trough navigable aqueduct that carries the Grand Union Canal over the River Great Ouse, on the borders between Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.

Train start time ( MK ) - reach 9.40 for 9.48 train from MK to reach Wolverton at 9.51

Hike Start time: 10:00 am (after the train arrives)

HIKE Starting/Ending Point: Wolverton Station

How to get there: There are regular trains/buses from MK to Wolverton Or you can drive & park up in the the station.

Length – 10 kms

Time – 5 hrs (Including all the breaks)

Grade – Easy

Pace - I am not a fast walker. I will go on my natural pace. I wont be in any hurry and appreciate people enjoying the scenery taking pics etc. I might stop often to read plaques etc, Onus is on you to catch up or to slow down as I need to mind everyone in the group.

NOTE - There is a charge of 15 pound for MK Musuem. It is an annual ticket valid for an year. I haven't yet decided whether to go inside the museum. Depends on the vibe there . There seems to be 2 hrs worth of things to see inside the museum

NOTE- Hike end time is not guaranteed. Dont come if you have important things planned like looking after the kids just after the hike. We cant rush the hike for 1 person.
