***For Covid safety protocols, we are hosting lessons only for participants who bring proof of full Covid vaccinations & boosters.

We have been saving spots on our regular team practices for interested beginners, but this month our team is preparing for a race so the regular practices are too intense for newcomers. Hence we are planning to host a beginners-only session this weekend May 7.

Please NOTE that this Meetup Session will only run if there are at least 10 attendees who sign up, so that the boat will not be too heavy for beginners to try. We want you to have fun! Please kindly check back on Friday night 9pm for event updates. Thank you very much!

FYI on BAD's Free Dragon Boat Lessons -- We provide life jackets, experienced coaches, excellent steerspeople, and calm, clean, beautiful water! The practice is usually around 1.5 hours and ends around noon.

***This activity is recommended for people age 13 - 55 in relatively good health. There is an age restriction for kids below the age of 12 years and those with underlying health conditions, for liability reasons.

Our meetup sessions are to introduce this fun team sport to newcomers and to invite interested folks to join our competitive dragonboat team. Come try it out a few times before deciding if you would like to join!

What to Wear - Comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting wet. This is in case you splash yourself.

Things we recommend you to bring:

1. Sunscreen as UV is higher on the water
2. Water to keep yourself hydrated
3. A Towel - to dry off after in case you splash yourself while on the boat
