Details
Our next book club will be held on July the 23rd and will be online, and in person for those who can make it. The time has been changed as a number of regulars were unable to attend on the earlier date. Apologies for any inconvenience this might cause.
This month we’ll be reading a book called Graceful Exits: How Great Beings Die by Sushila Blackman. Many thanks to Mario for suggesting this book. The book is a collection of many small stories talking about how great spiritual masters from the Eastern tradition have faced their death. These greats include Ramana Maharshi, Paramahansa Yogananda, Shunryu Suzuki, Sivananda and many other Rinpoches and enlightened beings. It should be a fascinating read, and I’m sure it will give us plenty to talk about.

Please feel free to bring a small snack if you’d like to contribute. Drinks and nibbles will be available, to give us something to chew on other than ideas!
You will be provided with the address and Zoom meeting link on meetup messages prior to the meeting.
Looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday the 23rd of July.
GENERAL INFORMATION 📚 🧘♀️ 🧘♂️ 🙏
The theme of the Rivett book club covers all things to do with consciousness including eastern philosophy, mindfulness and meditation tradition, neuroscience and quantum physics, spiritual and personal growth. We meet every four weeks to discuss a book we have read, and occasionally watch a movie, in a friendly and supportive environment that fosters growth and also increases social and spiritual connectedness.
COVID
I’ve removed the standard reference to COVID as it’s no longer necessary, however common sense still applies. If you’re not feeling well then please consider taking the option to Zoom in.
