FREE HIKE - A Scenic Loop from Amberley !

Meeting Point / Start and End of the Hike:
We will meet outside Amberley Station (BN18 9LT) at 10:30AM. There is station parking available.
Approximate Distance: 12 to 15 miles
The route follows the ridge past Rackham Hill and Springhead Hill, then descends through peaceful farmland near Harrow Hill and Lee Farm, with distant glimpses of Arundel Castle.
We pass through the charming village of Burpham, before looping back via quiet bridleways, over the railway, and along the river to Houghton Bridge and the station.
Expect varied scenery, great views, and a mix of hills, fields, and riverside paths — perfect for a full day out in the South Downs.

- What to Bring:
- Good hiking shoes (essential due to uneven and slippery paths)
- A packed lunch
- At least 1 litre of water
- A torch
- A positive and adventurous spirit
- Pace and Group Dynamics:
- Medium pace.
- Participants are expected to stay with or behind the hike leader to maintain group cohesion and ensure everyone can catch up.
