Join us for an exciting day of hiking as we explore the picturesque countryside around East Grinstead. This hike takes us through diverse landscapes, charming villages, and fascinating historical landmarks—an ideal escape into nature and history. The route may include some road walking and could be adjusted along the way to ensure smooth progress.

• Distance: Approximately 12 to 15 miles
• Difficulty: Moderate
• Highlights:
• Discover the historic town of East Grinstead, known for its medieval timber-framed buildings.
• Walk along the scenic Worth Way and Forest Way, tranquil green corridors following disused railway lines.
• Explore the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, featuring a patchwork of small farms, woodlands, sunken lanes, and parklands.
• Pass by St. Margaret's Church in West Hoathly with panoramic views of the Weald.
• Visit the serene Weir Wood Reservoir, a haven for birdlife, and enjoy the peaceful Millennium Picnic Site overlooking the reservoir.
• Traverse hidden woodland paths, open fields, and dense hedgerows of blackthorn bushes.
• Catch a glimpse of the Bluebell Railway, where heritage steam trains add a touch of nostalgia.
