About the Hike:
Join us for a full-day circular hike starting and ending at Reigate Station. We'll begin with a scenic climb through Gatton Park, part of the North Downs, before continuing east towards open countryside and peaceful trails around Buckland.

We’ll bypass the southern loop near Flanchford Road to keep the route more direct and manageable, making our way back through the beautiful expanse of Reigate Heath and woodland paths.

Expect varied terrain, woodland trails, rolling hills, and some quiet lanes — a fantastic blend of views, history, and nature. This is a long but rewarding route best suited for experienced hikers or those comfortable with endurance walks.

What to Bring:

• Sturdy hiking boots/shoes (the muddier, the better—you’ll fit right in)

• Plenty of water & snacks/lunch
• Optional: hiking poles, camera, binoculars, and an adventurous spirit

Planning Notes:

• Arrive 10 minutes early for a friendly chat with the organiser.
• Parking can be a bit of a pain, so come early to find a good spot.
• Pace: medium to fast, with breaks for dramatic sighs and snacks.
• Some paths may be muddy—embrace the squelch.
• Watch out for golfers. They take their swings seriously.
• The route may change—because even maps like a plot twist. So, be ready for a surprise or two!
