Step into history and nature on this free linear hike along Britain’s most iconic coastline — the White Cliffs of Dover. We'll walk from Dover Priory to Deal Station, covering approximately 19 km at a medium pace.

• Start: 11 AM at Dover Priory Station
• End: Around 6:00 PM at Deal Station
• Distance: ~19 km
• Pace: Medium (with some hilly sections)
• Route: Linear (Can return via train from Deal)

### 🌊 Why This Hike is Special

For many, the White Cliffs of Dover are as symbolic to Britain as the Statue of Liberty is to America — a proud sentinel standing at the nation’s edge.
This stunning chalk coastline has been a powerful symbol through the ages:

• In 55 BC, Julius Caesar viewed the cliffs as a formidable fortress that challenged his invasion.
• In Shakespeare’s King Lear, the cliffs were etched into drama with the lines:
  "There is a cliff, whose high and bending head looks fearfully in the confined deep..."
• During World War II, they stood as a beacon of hope and resilience.
• They witnessed the return of Charles II from exile and have long marked both a barrier and a link to the outside world.

We'll enjoy these dramatic views while walking a path steeped in natural beauty and deep historical significance.

📌 What to Bring:

• Proper hiking boots or shoes
• Packed lunch, and at least 1.5L of water
• Hat / Cap, Sunglasses, Swim gear
• Good vibes and your best hill-conquering attitude
