FREE HIKE - Windsor Great Park & Virginia Water Circular – A Royal Ramble

📍 Start & Finish: Outside Windsor & Eton Riverside Station (Car Park Postcode: SL4 1QG)

🕚 Meeting Time: 11:00 AM sharp – outside the main station
(P.S. Windsor & Eton Central Station is just a 10-minute walk away, so you can book your return from there too!)

Join us for a stunning approx., 13–15 mile circular walk through the historic beauty of Windsor Great Park, heading toward the tranquil waters of Virginia Water and back. Expect royal landscapes, peaceful woodland, lakeside strolls, and maybe even a corgi sighting if we’re lucky.

### 🏞️ What to Expect:

• Views of Windsor Castle
• A stroll through the iconic Long Walk from the Copper Horse Statue to the castle
• Lakes, gardens, open fields, and ancient forest trails
• Virginia Water Lake – perfect for a scenic break
• A rich tapestry of royal history dating back to William the Conqueror and Queen Victoria

This route is popular for a reason – it offers something for everyone: history, nature, photo ops, and fresh air therapy!

### 🥪 Pace & Essentials:

• Medium-paced hike with regular breaks
• Some road walking and gentle hills along the way
• Finish expected by around 6:00 PM
• We'll head to a pub near the station at the end for a well-earned drink!

### 🎒 What to Bring:

• Hiking boots or sturdy shoes
• Packed lunch & at least 2 litre of water
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• A good mood and maybe a camera!
