Pembrokeshire National Park, Gowers Peninsula and Waterfalls

South Wales - Pembrokeshire National Park/Gowers and Waterfalls weekend event on 23rd to 25th May 2026 (Bank holiday).

The weather is looking great for South Wales during this weekend with each day at around 24-26 degrees, warm enough to even have a swim on one of the lovely golden beaches we will visit.

The weather forecast for South Wales:
Saturday in the Gowers: 24 degrees, sunny all day, gentle breeze

Sunday in Pembrokeshire National Park: 25 degrees, sunny all day, gentle breeze
Monday at the waterfall walk: 26 degrees, sunny all day

On Saturday will also walk in the the Gowers "Jewel in the Crown" it is indeed very special and known to be the finest Areas of
Outstanding Natural beauty. We will be walking through 10 miles of surfing bays, nature reserves, dramatic cliffs and wonderful golden beaches along the coastal paths of Gower Peninsula.

On Sunday we will ventured into Pembrokeshire National Park. The entire route will be along beautiful coastal paths passing through fishing villages, bays and golden beaches. One of the highlights will be out visit to the dramatic Green Bridge of Wales (meetup image), a great natural arch formed through the actions of sea water and rain, similar to Durdle Door in Dorset.

On bank holiday Monday we will experience the waterfalls through our forest walk along 3 strong rivers. There will be 3 large waterfalls during the 11 miles trail and the most exciting part of the walk comes when we walk behind the the waterfall at Sgwd yr Eira. ​

I only have 8 FREE places for members for this 3 free day event. Members need to organise their own accommodation and need to have access to a car as there are no public transportation to the start/finish of these walks.
I am also organising a “non free” 3 day event, the full itinerary is below. Leaving London on Saturday 23rd May, returning late to London on Monday 25th May (bank holiday).

20:30 - 21:00 Drive to our hotel

07:00 - 08:00 Breakfast at Premier Inn restaurant
08:15 - 09:15 Drive to Pembrokeshire for our coastal walk
09:25 - 15:30 Walk 10 miles of coastal walk
15:30 - 16:15 Snacks at the various cafe restaurants at the bay
16:30 - 17:15 Drive to the Green Bridge for photos and short walk
18:45 - 19:15 Drive back to restaurant

Monday 25th May 2026
07:00 - 08:00 Breakfast at Premier Inn restaurant
08:00 - 09:00 Drive toward the Brecon Beacon for our Waterfall walk
09:00 -16:00 River Forest trail with a cafe break half way
16:30 -19:45 Drive back to Hatton Cross tube station
