## Who this is for

Absolute beginners to FreeCAD and 3D printing. No prior CAD experience required.

## Course format (6 sessions)

1. Class 1 – Getting Started (Custom Coaster): FreeCAD GUI, square sketch, cutouts, chamfer/fillet, export STL. Project: personalized coaster.
2. Class 2 – Sketch Constraints (Nameplate): geometric & dimensional constraints, add text, pocket text. Project: engraved/cutout nameplate.
3. Class 3 – 3D Features (USB Holder): pad, pocket, revolve, mirror; add USB/SD slots. Project: desk USB/SD holder.
4. Class 4 – Boolean & Assembly Basics (Hinged Box): union/cut/intersect; model lid & base; manual alignment. Project: hinged or snap-fit box.
5. Class 5 – Exporting & Finishing (Phone Stand): printability checks, final details, export settings. Project: 3D-printable phone stand.
6. Class 6 – Final Project + Q&A: student-chosen build; live review/support. Projects: keychain, cable organizer, tool holder, or remix.

## What to have / prep

• Laptop (Win/Mac/Linux) + power adapter
• 3-button mouse (strongly recommended)
