In this talk, Wes Cossick will be explaining why contributing to open source projects is so helpful for software engineers of all skill levels, but especially those who are still learning to hone their craft. We’ll also cover what you need to know to start contributing to open source projects.

The talk will include an interactive demo walking attendees through the process of contributing to a mock project, so if you’d like to participate, be sure to bring a laptop!
