freeCodeCamp Wed 26th Nov 2025 - Git Branching
Details
Hello code campers!
We're back at Wimbletech on Wed 26th Nov, 6.15pm, taking a little break from AI to "manually" code 😄. For this evening, we'll be looking at git and git branching with an interactive game.
This meetup is open to all coding levels - just bring your enthusiasm to learn and share, and a laptop.
Agenda:
18:15 - 18:30 Arrival & Networking
Mingle with fellow developers.
18:30 - 18:50 Introductions
Very quick recap of our website (https://freecodecamp.london) built using the Astro web framework. Everyone is encouraged to contribute, even if you did not attend previous meetups, or are new to coding or an experienced developer.
18:50 - 20:30 Hands-on Git workshop
Learn about git and git branching with an interactive game (useful for making contributions to the website).
(Alternatively, anyone who wants to just code and follow the fcc curriculum or courses can do so too).
20:30 - 21:00 Wrap-up
News about our final meetup of the year in Dec, then decamp to the local pub.
If you haven't already, please check out our discord group at https://bit.ly/freecodecamp-london
Please note that the venue has a capacity of around 25 people. Generally about half of people who sign up drop out, so there will be an attendee limit to 50.
Venue Location
We are at Wimbletech in SW19 7NB. Please take the entrance on Compton Road (Wimbletech Zone 2). The what3words location is https://what3words.com/type.larger.large
There is a flight of stairs to get to the space. Unfortunately, the lift to the space is only in use until 6pm from the Library entrance, and so will be out of use after 6pm.
