What we’re about

Mindfulness Meditation and Mindful Living Practice in the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hahn

"Mindfulness allows you to live deeply every moment that is given you to live." -Thich Nhat Hanh

We gather as a Sangha (community of practitioners) in Kyoto and Osaka to provide an opportunity to those who wish to practice in community, learn and/or deepen the Mindfulness Meditation Practice in the Buddhist Spiritual Tradition.

Sitting and Walking Meditation, Recitation of the Mindfulness Trainings, Dharma teachings, discussions and sharings are an integral part of our Sangha meetings.

We also provide a chance to mindfully commune with Nature with our Eco-Activities, Mindful Hikes, bike rides, outdoor yoga, picnics, and field trips, as well as to make new friends and socialize with a focus during our outings and Dharma Activities.

"There’s a revolution that needs to happen and it starts from inside each one of us. We need to wake up and fall in love with Earth. Our personal and collective happiness and survival depends on it."
-Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay)

Additionally, we also offer Meditation Classes, Days of Mindfulness, Retreats, Tea Ceremonies, and other Vietnamese/Japanese Zen practices.

As Thay said during a Dharma Talk in Plum Village:

"If we know how to live our daily life in mindfulness, concentration, and harmony, then peace, happiness, and brotherhood become a reality."
