### Prayer of Spiritual Power (Ephesians 1 & 3)

In the book of Ephesians, Paul offers two powerful prayers for believers — not for material blessings or success, but for spiritual insight and strength.

  1. In Ephesians 1:17–20, Paul prays that believers receive revelation — deep understanding from God about:
  • Who God is,
  • Their purpose and calling,
  • Their spiritual inheritance,
  • And most importantly, the immense power available to them — the same power that raised Jesus from the dead.

This power enables believers to live boldly in faith — healing the sick, casting out demons, and proclaiming the gospel. Paul emphasizes this power hasn’t ceased — it’s still active in all who believe.
2. In Ephesians 3:14–20, Paul prays again, this time focused on what it looks like to have God’s power living inside believers. He outlines three sources of spiritual strength that come from a close relationship with God:

  • The Holy Spirit strengthening the inner self — our spirit, renewed daily, becomes our true power source, not our physical strength or willpower.
  • Christ dwelling in our hearts — not just being saved, but letting Jesus take full control and become our source of life.
  • Being rooted and filled with Christ’s love — knowing and experiencing God’s unconditional love deeply transforms us, empowering us to love others with patience, kindness, and truth.

Paul closes by reminding us: God’s power in us is capable of doing far more than we could ever ask or imagine.

### Key Takeaway

Spiritual power doesn’t come from effort or religion — it comes from:

  • Letting the Holy Spirit strengthen you from the inside out,
  • Letting Jesus fully live in your heart, and
  • Being rooted in God’s love, which changes how you live and love.

If you’re led, consider reflecting on how God’s power has recently worked in you or through you — and ask Him to continue revealing more.
