Dear Fellow Believer,
Have you ever pondered how the Christian life extends far beyond the assurance of forgiven sins and eternal heaven? As Scripture reminds us in Ephesians 1:3, God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ—yet how often do we seek the Holy Spirit's revelation to uncover who we've become in Him, what we possess through Him, and what He can accomplish through us as we abide in Him (John 15:5)? Consider Paul's words in 1 Corinthians 2:12: we've received the Spirit from God so that we might know the things freely given to us by Him. Isn't it worth asking: Are we actively seeking such revelations from the Spirit? Do we truly desire to know God's truths? And do we long to minister these insights to others, helping them grow in understanding?
Inspired by the profound message "Knowing Christ – Sharing Christ," we invite you to join a transformative Bible study and discussion where we'll delve into these questions. Drawing from Philemon 6-7, we'll explore Paul's prayer for effective sharing of faith—leading to full recognition of every good thing in our identification with Christ. Just as Hannah's contrite prayer broke her bonds of barrenness in 1 Samuel 1:10-20, symbolizing God's power to reveal and restore, we'll examine how revelations come through the Spirit, Scripture (2 Peter 1:21), and life's circumstances, empowering us to refresh and comfort one another (Philemon 7).
In this gathering, we'll reflect on movements of revelation: knowing Christ to share Him, and sharing to deepen our knowing. Bring any recent revelations you'd like to share—perhaps truths about your identity in Christ, like being a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) or freed from sin's power (Romans 6:6-7). Together, we'll discuss how these insights combat anxiety, hopelessness, and laboring in self-effort, setting us free through truth (John 8:32).
