Details
May's topic will be conducted by Bro. Sunn Dawn DeVris in a study of Freemasonry, discusses the topic: "Is there a Proof from Antiquity that connects Freemasonry to Plato's Atlantis?"
Synopsis:
Plato's dialogues about Atlantis, notably "Timaeus" and "Critias," are often associated to Freemasonry due to shared themes of ancient wisdom, moral progress, and the ideal state. The presence of Atlantis in Masonic symbolism is due more to its allegorical character in Plato's writings and its association with ancient civilizations like Egypt than to any direct historical connection. "Great Architect of the Universe".
