How Do Masonic Principles Help Us Steer Away or Function in a Dystopian Society?

Details

November's study will be conducted by Bro. Karoli Clever as he asks the question, "How Do Masonic Principles Help Us Steer Away or Function in a Dystopian Society?"

Synopsis:
In "Brave New World," a dystopian science fiction novel by Aldous Huxley, the author describes a society where natural selection and procreation are frowned upon, and genetic engineering reigns. Society is conditioned from the point of artificially selected conception, and subconscious persuasion is used as a grooming technique for creating different levels of human society. Spiritual beliefs are frowned upon, and critical thinking or monogamy is considered a type of mutation. Propaganda reigns in this world, and chemical persuasion is encouraged. Still, there are individuals who wish to have their own thoughts and move their lives into a more autonomous human experience.

Mission Statement:
The Masonic Philosophical Society embraces the concept of learning, not for school, but for life, and believes that all men, who seek it, deserve access to continued education. We further embrace the concept of a community environment where ideas can be shared and debated in an open forum. From the seven liberal arts to the arcane, we seek to gain and share the knowledge that is the legacy of mankind.
