This summer “The Frying Pan” became such popular destination that it is
very difficult to get in, even just to use the bathrooms. For this
reason we have to change the location of our “Weekend Bikers around
From this coming weekend we will start meeting at the
“Food Court of Pier 17”
On the 3rd Floor of the shopping mall at Pier 17
(on the tables in the Southeast corner of the Food Court facing the
located on East River across from the crossing of Fulton Street and
Every Saturday around 6:00PM
Every Sunday around 2:00PM
The shopping mall at Pier 17 is open everyday
From 10:00AM till 8:30PM
(on busy days it stays often open till 10:00PM)
If a group wants to have private meetings there is a semi-private area
on the 3rd floor Southwest terrace near Irish Pub “Black Harp” with 3
tables (each 4 to 6 seats) and a large bench with 4 seats, all movable.
On request the management can make arrangement for a private meeting
in other parts of the mall.
Also entire mall has free Wi-Fi connection to the Internet courtesy of
Downtown Alliance. Throughout the mall there are electric outlets
where you can recharge your phone or laptop.
Right now on the first south terrace General Electric provides free of
charge 3 boots equipped with all kind of phone chargers powered by
Solar panels and you can get a free Carousel ride also powered by Solar
Panels (GE's 'Carousolar' at the South Street Seaport).
There are plenty of beach chairs for sun tanning on the first and third

$50 a meal to “Little Tokyo” and several other fast food establishments
where you can get a meal for just $7. If you are really cheap guy, the
Food Court is the place to be. There the free sampling is still
available and if you make two rounds with free food samples, you do not
need to buy a meal.
If your bicycle runs out of gas, “Beekman Bier Garden” has a large tent
and beach on the back of the mall, where you can re-fuel your engine
(but you are not allowed to bring food and beverages from outside).
If you run out of “Evian” water, keep your plastic container because
Mayor Mike Bloomberg provides free of charge plenty of “Bloomberg tap”
throughout the mall.
Bathrooms are huge and free of charge.
The “Summer Stage” music and performance festival also provides
different performance every day.
I hope to see all fateful bikers next weekend at our new meeting place
at the Food Court of Pier 17 Mall.
