Details

(NOTE: We are now meeting both in person, at UU Santa Fe, and via Zoom, in a hybrid format! Zoom instructions follow the event description.)
We're honored to have as this month's leader Estevan Rael-Galvez. Building upon decades of research by Dr. Rael-Gálvez on Native American slavery, thanks to the Mellon Foundation, he has been able to launch Native Bound Unbound – Archive of Indigenous Slavery, the objective of which is to create a centralized digital repository centered on the lives of the enslaved Indigenous people across the Americas. Dr. Rael-Gálvez will provide an overview of the initiative and engage the audience in a conversation about the initiative. As this is the end of the year, we will also use some of this months' session to discuss topics you'd like to suggest for future sessions!

To get the zoom link, go to Events on our meetup site, and click that you will attend, then you can access the zoom link at the Online event icon.

We currently meet via zoom the third Sunday of every month from 8:30 - 10 am. Our general format is a short presentation on a topic that has been suggested by the group, followed by an hour or so of open discussion of the subject. All are welcome, and all outlooks on the topics are respected. We aim to learn from each other and celebrate our diversity!
