Make connections, Meet local organizations, and get involved in Your Community!

The Atheist Community of Austin (ACA), in partnership with the American Humanist Association (AHA), invites you to join us for our Day of Empathy Community Spotlight Fair on May 2nd, 2026!

Join us at the Freethought Library at 1507 Koenig Lane in Austin from 3pm - 9pm for an afternoon of tabling, training, networking with community organizations near you.

The event will be held in the back lot of the Freethought Library, with booths for local community organizations, and with room for folks to socialize and hang out. Inside the library, we will be holding a series of training classes in mutual aid, advocacy, and first aid.

There will be no onsite parking, but there is a ton of parking available in the neighborhood between Arroyo Seco and Joe Sayers.

The fair will begin at 3pm with trainings running between 4pm - 7pm. The Fair will conclude at 9pm.

So, bring a friend and join us on May 2nd. We look forward to seeing you there!

The American Empathy Project grants support to changemakers across the country to mobilize their communities and put empathy into action. We’re living through a crisis of cruelty, but there is hope in ourselves and in each other. Let’s bring together local organizations (like yours!) to make connections, amplify your work, and celebrate the empathy you bring to your community each day.
