Burr Oak Camping Weekend -- Kayaking, Biking and Hiking Options

Please join us for a fun few days of camping, hiking and kayaking, as well as biking the nearby Hockhocking-Adena paved bikeway. There are plenty of campsites still available but don't wait too long. We'll do a group potluck dinner Saturday evening. Come for all 3 nights or just 1 or 2 nights of your choosing. I've never stayed at this campground so I don't know what the facilities are like, but they do have showers and electric campsites.

Burr Oak State Park has miles of scenic hiking trails (They hold the 20-mile Mammoth March hike here each year). 664-acre Burr Oak Lake only allows motors <10hp so it provides quiet waters for paddling and lots of shoreline to explore.

The Columbus-based M.A.F.I.A. meetup group is doing a 20-mile bike ride on the Hockhocking-Adena bikeway Saturday morning which I plan to attend. Lunch afterwards at Eclipse Company Store in Athens. Burr Oak also has a swimming beach and an 18-hole disc golf course which is free to use. The nearby Bailey's Trail System offers over 30 miles of singletrack mountain bike trails for all skill levels which I plan to check out.
