Dave and John have agreed to lead us on "The Wild Ponies Trip," which I am sure a lot of you have heard about from others. This is a 2 night backpacking trip in Virginia, near the Mount Rogers recreation area.

We will camp Thursday night at Grayson Highlands State Park and hit the trail early Friday. Water should be available to filter along the 25/26 mile trek we do Friday through Sunday. We will return to our cars Sunday by noon.

We have the group campsite reserved in Hickory Ridge Campground in Grayson Highlands State Park for Thursday night. Showers are available, so you can have one last one before hitting the trail Friday morning, and another Sunday upon return, if you like.

The cost of the group campsite is $8.15 per person.
The cost per car in the backpacking car lot is $48.00. I reserved 5 sites and am taking one for myself.

If you want to stay on the “going” list, please pay $8.15 via PayPal to me (@LindaLegeza) by Feb. 15th. Make sure this is for family and friends so there will be no fee. Those who do not pay by this date will be moved to “not going,” as we have a wait list.

If you want to have one of the parking spots I reserved, please send $48.00 to me by Feb. 15th. Those parking spots are expensive! So carpool if you can!

More car spots are available and you can decide later if you want to reserve one yourself, but don’t wait too long.

My cell is 216-973-3851 so feel free to text with any questions.
