# Join Our Inaugural Virtual Stoic Winter Camp
## A Conversation Series for New & Curious Minds
Dear Friend,
While our Stoic group traditionally takes a winter break, this year we're doing something different. We're opening our doors—virtually—to create a space specifically for those who've wanted to explore Stoicism with us but haven't been able to join in person. Engage with the Fremont Stoa core leadership and members.
Welcome to the Stoic Winter Camp Conversation Series.
## What Is This?
Think of this as a fireside gathering, but online. Over the course of several weeks this winter, we'll come together from the comfort of our homes to explore Stoic wisdom, share perspectives, and support each other in applying ancient philosophy to modern life.
This isn't a lecture series or a formal course. It's a conversation—thoughtful, open, and welcoming to all levels of experience.
## Who Should Join?
This series is designed especially for:
- Newcomers curious about Stoicism
- Those who've wanted to engage but couldn't make in-person meetings
- Anyone seeking philosophical community during the quieter winter months
- People exploring Stoic practices for the first time
No prior knowledge of Stoicism required. Just bring your curiosity and willingness to think deeply together.

## A Stoic Invitation
The Stoics understood that obstacles often reveal opportunities. While winter and distance might seem like barriers, they've given us the chance to create something new: a space where geography doesn't limit community, where comfort of home enables deeper reflection, and where the quiet season becomes a time for inner cultivation.
As Marcus Aurelius wrote, "Nowhere can man find a quieter or more untroubled retreat than in his own soul." This winter, let's find that retreat together.
We look forward to thinking alongside you.
