French Conversation (ADVANCED - C1)
Details
LEVEL: ADVANCED - C1 — 1pm PT / 4pm ET
🛫 How fast do we need to travel? - Fifty years ago, on January 21, 1976, the first Concorde entered service. Designed to connect Europe and the United States in under three hours, this supersonic aircraft ultimately crashed at the beginning of the millennium. Today, startups are reviving the myth of speed. They dream of breaking the sound barrier and living the lives of globetrotters, traveling from one end of the planet to the other as fast as one commutes to work in the morning. It's exciting, but is it really necessary? How fast should we travel?
#### Preparation:
- watch this week's episode about the Concorde: https://youtu.be/Gf1NsGvJ7_o (subtitles are available in French and English by clicking on the CC button on the YouTube control bar).
- watch related episode: le voyage
- prepare one or two questions
