🍇 Welcome to the grape harvest season! 🧑‍🌾🍷 - September is the time of year when winemakers harvest grapes to turn them into wine. The quality of the vintage depends heavily on summer weather conditions: warm, dry weather is ideal, but excessive heat or drought complicates matters. To cope with the intense summer heat of recent years, the grape harvest has been starting earlier and earlier; some even began as early as August 8th this year! However, the famous wine town of Saint-Émilion is keen to uphold the autumn tradition with a wonderful "Grape Harvest Festival" held in early October. To learn more about the process and its importance in French culture, watch this week's episode and join the conversation.
