Bonjour! We are Régine and Richard the organizers. Régine is a native of France. Richard is from Ohio and speaks French very well with a charming American accent! He retired in 2018 after a very long career in the military. We settled in Lakewood Ranch Florida in 2020 to enjoy the beautiful weather and culture of the Sarasota area. Join us for friendship and fun gatherings! Our group events include dining at local restaurants, potlucks etc...
To be approved to join the group you should have a good conversational knowledge of French. The main reason for joining the group should be a strong desire to improve and maintain your French language skills and to improve your knowledge of Francophone culture. Most events are for " fluent attendees " but some events are for "upper intermediate" to "advanced attendees". When you attend a " fluent attendees" event you are required to speak in French only. FYI the French Alliance of Sarasota offers French conventional classes and French conversation classes.
