[online] FLE Book Club

Our FLE Book Club is meeting once a month on the last Thursday and Friday at 6.30pm on Zoom.

Our very own book club is dedicated to Non Native French Speakers who want to take advantage of this experience to refine their French skills. Members must have at least an Intermediate level in French.

The whole session will be in French!

We will read books in French, books by French speaking writers.

We meet once a month (except July and December) on the last week of the month for 1 hour / 1,5 hour and will talk (in French) about the book we will be reading.

The idea is to read a book (the same book for the whole group) on a slow pace, to be able to absorb most of it. We may adapt the pace on our way.

Along the session, we will talk about the writer, plot, story, characters, topics on one hand and about comprehension of the text, phrasing and vocabulary on the other hand.

We may read some passages during sessions as well. And of course, we will share our impressions and find out more about the themes.

The book club is a long-distance journey. Then, if you decide to join, you commit to a regular attendance for a few months at least!

£15 per session,
£60 for 5 months

When you sign up to one session, the payment (£15) will be processed through Paypal.

If you choose the option £60 for 5 months, please send me a message for details and make your payment (£60) by Bank transfer. Once payment processed, the organiser will put you on the list.

Once booked and paid, get the book as it is better to know about it if you are to attend the Book Club session.
