French Pastry in-home classes – (East Bay Area)

Love French pastries and want to learn how to bake them yourself — without stress or overly technical steps?

This Meetup is about hands-on French pastry classes, taught in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, in small groups.


The goal is simple:
 understand the basics,
 gain confidence,
 and be able to recreate classic French pastries at home.

Classes focus on traditional French techniques, explained step by step, with an emphasis on gestures, understanding, and hands-on practice rather than perfection.

What to expect:

• Hands-on workshops (you bake, not just watch)
• Small, relaxed groups (1–4 participants). For groups of 5 or 6, feel free to reach out.
• Beginner-friendly, no prior experience required
• Learn new skills while baking a French classic, with a focus on technique and hands-on practice
• Classes held at a host’s home or at a private location, depending on the event
  Some events are hosted by members who offer their home for a class — a great way to bake together with friends, neighbors, or fellow food lovers.

Practical details:

• Events are paid workshops (price indicated in each event)
• Ingredients are purchased in advance by participants, unless otherwise specified
• A detailed ingredient list is shared at least 24 hours before the class
• You’ll take home what you bake 🍰
