Design Systems Coffee Talk 2018.5 @ Rackspace w/ the Helix Design System Team
This month we'll be joining the Helix Design Systems Team at the Rackspace office near I-35 and 183 to discuss Design Systems and maybe even ask a bit about how their team is structured and how they operate.
Helix is a shared set of components that designers and engineers at Rackspace can use to deliver high quality, cohesive experiences for both internal and external facing surfaces. Helix is made of two parts, the Design Language, which contains appearance and behavior specifications for all Helix components, and guidance for how and when to use them, and the UI Toolkit, which is a library of consumable assets for building your application with Helix.
The office is in the suite closes to the I-35. Park either in the smaller lot right up by the frontage road, or in the giant parking lot behind the chevy dealership, and walk up to the glass doors. You’ll be greeted by a Racker and after signing in, we will lead you back to the event space
THE TYPICAL INFO:
Behind the scenes we've been pondering: How Might We moderate these growing discussions in a more inclusive manner? Iterating on a method used at the last few talks, we'll be co-creating a discussion guide on the fly based on input from all attendees at the beginning of our discussion.
This Discussion Guide will act as our Agenda. Please come on time and prepared with any questions you'd like to ask the Rackspace team, or more generic Design Systems questions or topics you'd like to discuss.
