Test-Driven Development (TDD) traditionally involves starting with a unit test, writing just enough production code to make the test pass, and then refactoring to improve the code's quality. But is this the only way to approach TDD? Could there be other, more effective ways? And what happens when we step outside the methods we’re used to?

During this session, we’ll explore a different approach to TDD. You’ll learn to think differently about developing production code through a hands-on exercise—a Coding Kata—following the principles of “TDD: As If You Meant It.” As always, we’ll use a pair-programming approach to ensure an engaging and collaborative learning experience.

User Story Slicing Meetup – Maximizing Value with Smaller Stories
In our daily work as engineers, we often build products in small, incremental steps. We define these increments as user stories, ensuring each one is shippable and brings value to users. However, slicing user stories into small, manageable parts while maintaining their value can be challenging.

At this meetup, we’ll explore best practices for user story slicing, discuss common challenges, and practice slicing real-world examples in small groups. You'll gain hands-on experience in making user stories as small and valuable as possible. Afterward, we’ll take things a step further by implementing and testing these slices in short increments.

Who Should Attend?
This meetup is for anyone working with user stories—developers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and more. There will also be a small section on implementation, where you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with engineers or contribute by testing an implementation.
